Nicole grew up in the desert of northwest New Mexico and then the plains of Oklahoma. Her adult life took her back to New Mexico before making her home in Denver in 2000. 

"I am a self-taught artist who found my passion for painting relatively late in life. My inspirations come from both natural and urban environments. My painting methods include layering oil or acrylic pigments and working the surface with various tools, letting the image manifest in an intuitive manner." - Nicole Korbe
